Sharon Ruth (Paugh) Sims, 79, passed away on Saturday, April 30, 2022, at Martinsburg VA Medical Center in Martinsburg, WV. Born September 21, 1942, in Benbush, WV, She was the daughter of the late Clarence G. and Sylvia B. (Shambaugh) Paugh Sr.
She was an Army veteran, serving four years in the Women's Army Corporation.
She is survived by three sons, Joseph Sims of Florence, AL, Alvin Sims and Russell Sims, both of Smyrna, TN; One daughter, Amy L. Sims of Shelbyville, TN.; 11 grandchildren; and 6 great grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Clarence "Buzzy" G. Paugh Jr. and Mervin H. Paugh; and four sisters, Gloria J. Sisler, Iris J. Whitehair, Martha L. Short and Rachel G. Bonner.
Upon her request, no services will be held. An interment will be held at Rose Hill Cemetery, Thomas, WV. at a later date. The C & S Fredlock Funeral Home is honored to be assisting the Sims family.
