Raymond O'Haver

Raymond "Sonny" Howard O'Haver Jr., 46, of Oakland, MD, passed away at WVU Ruby Memorial Hospital on April 8, 2022. Born on March 2, 1976, in Oakland, MD, a son to the surviving Raymond Howard Sr., and Naomi Lucille (McRobie) O'Haver.

Sonny had a deep love for helping others. He enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. He was known for his cooking and baking abilities. Sonny loved spending time and playing with the family dog, Bear. He also enjoyed taking in the beauty of flowers and watching the new blooms. Sonny was a very hard worker at Sunrise Sanitation and loved all of his co-workers. He served as a Chief Judge for the Garrett County Election Board. He was also a member of the Historic Museum of Oakland and an active member of Bayard United Methodist Church.

In addition to his parents, he is survived by a sister, Mia Lansberry and husband Bill; three nephews, Cole and fiancé Kim, Bryan and wife Becca, Chaz and wife Tabby; one great niece, Adaline; one great nephew, Noah; his best buddy, Bear Bear; one uncle, Randy McRobie; one aunt, Doris Tasker; along with numerous cousins and other family members.
Sonny was preceded in death by two grandmothers, Lucille Evelyn Steyer and Nettie Starkey; a brother, Harold O'Haver; a sister, Melissa "Cissy" O'Haver; three uncles, Joseph McRobie, Stanley and Henry Steyer.

Mr. O'Haver's request for cremation will be honored. A celebration of life will be held, 11:00 am, Wednesday, April 13, 2022, at C & S Fredlock Funeral Home P.A., 21 N. Second St. Oakland, with Pastor Rebecca Bennett officiating. Friends will be received one hour prior to the service. The C & S Fredlock Funeral Home, P.A., is honored to be serving the O'Haver family at this time.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donation to be made to them to help offset unexpected costs at this time.
