Lois Catherine Wolfe, 98, of Mtn. Lake Park died on Monday, July 9, 2018, at Dennett Road Manor. Born on October 6, 1919, in Red House, she was the daughter of the late Cyrus Sylvester and Tola A.D. (Hahn) Wolfe. Lois was a graduate of Oakland High School after which she went on to work for the U.S. Department of Agriculture in Washington, D.C. She was a member of St. John’s Lutheran Church in Red House. She enjoyed knitting, crocheting and tending to her flower gardens. Community involvement was important to Lois and she put her knitting skills to use in making hats for newborns in the hospital. She also enjoyed working with the elderly. She is survived by two brothers, Neil Wolfe of Loch Lynn and Orville Wolfe of Richmond, VA; and many nieces and nephews and their families. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by four brothers, Richard, Kenneth, Paul and Franklin Wolfe; and seven sisters, Virginia Wolfe, Thelma Wolfe, Melvina Toms, Evelyn Myers, Pearl Kessler, Mary Shaw and Blanche Miller. A memorial service will be held in St. John's Lutheran Church, Red House on Thursday, July 19, 2018 at 11 AM. Private interment will take place in the St. John’s Lutheran Church Cemetery, Red House. The C & S Fredlock Funeral Home, P.A., Oakland has been entrusted with arrangements.
