Lloyd Wilt

Lloyd Allen Wilt, 90, of Mt. Lake Park, passed away on Thursday, June 27, 2019 at Ruby Memorial Hospital, Morgantown, WV. He was born January 1, 1929 in Cumberland, MD. Lloyd was preceded in death by his wife of 36 years, Judith (Legeer) Wilt. He was also preceded by his parents Porter McKinley “P.M.” Wilt and Helen Isabel (Tasker) Wilt, as well as by his brothers Charles Wilt, Lawrence Wilt, Harvey Wilt, and Elwood Wilt. Lloyd was a retired telegraph operator for the B&O Railroad and former foster parent. He is survived by his children Joseph Locke and wife Christina , Kristiann (Wilt) Germain and husband Scott, and Robert Locke; his sisters Mabel (Wilt) Stiles and Mary (Wilt) Humberson; as well as several grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews, and dozens of foster children. Lloyd’s family would like to thank everyone who has helped him over the years and in his final days, especially Garrett Regional Medical Center, Ruby Memorial Hospital, Meals on Wheels, Janice Kelly, Bodine Kelly, Matthew Swapp, Louise (Wilt) Luke, George Wilt, Robert Wilt, Eric and Shannon Germain, Chelsea (Locke) Heath, Cherie Simmons, and Angie Perry. Friends will be received at the C & S Fredlock Funeral Home, P.A., Oakland, on Sunday, June 30, 2019 from 6 PM to 9 PM. A funeral service will be held in the funeral home on Monday, July 1, 2019 at 1PM. Interment will follow in the Garrett County Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Area Agency on Aging for the Meals on Wheels program.
