John McCartney

John Lorraine McCartney, 71, of Oakland died on Saturday, November 20, 2021, at Garrett Regional Medical Center.  Born on January 11, 1950, in Grafton, WV, he was the son of the late Lorraine and Claire (Luzzader) McCartney.

He was a graduate of Southern High School. John owned and operated his own automotive body shop. He loved camping and motorcycles.

He is survived by his wife, Susan Marie McCartney; sons, Dustin McCartney and wife Ivette and Ricky McCartney and wife Laura; daughter, Kristie Kitzmiller and husband Mike; step-son, Billy Patterson and wife Crystal; grandchildren, Rachelle, Brooke, Austin, Ashton and Maverick; great-grandchildren, Liam, Avery, Karlee, Logan, Brayden, Carlton and Dominick.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Randall McCartney.

Friends will be received at the C & S Fredlock Funeral Home, P.A., Oakland, on Wednesday, November 24, 2021, from 11 am to 1pm. A funeral service will be held at 1 pm with Pastor Dave Marsh officiating. The C & S Fredlock Funeral Home is honored to be serving the family at this time.
