DeWayne "Jake" Hawk, 85, beloved Husband, Father, and Grandfather was called to his eternal resting place on Friday, June 5, 2020. He was born on March 18, 1935 to the late Dewey and Nellie (Cosner) Hawk. Jake was preceded in death by his wife Rebecca in 1996 and a son Carl DeWayne in 2004. He was also preceded in death by a brother, Eugene Hawk and two sisters Ruth Janoski and Dorothy Hoeck.

Jake is survived by his wife Irene (Cosner) Hawk, a son, Gary Hawk (Jackie), Oakland and two daughters Evelyn Hawk and Diane Junkins (Denny) both of Mount Storm. He is also survived by his grandchildren Brian Hawk (Rebecca), Kevin Junkins (Emily), Randy Junkins, Caleb Hawk, Brianna Hawk, Rebecca Hawkinberry (Nick), Joseph Hawk, Benjamin Hawk, Christopher Sparbell, Lance Sparbell and Patrick Sparbell (Alycia) and 5 great grandchildren. Also surviving are brothers Loren, Larry and Jerry Hawk and sisters Sylvia Fulayter and Sandy Waybright, along with several nieces and nephews.

Jake was an avid hunter and fisherman and loved spending time with his family. He was a member of the Mount Storm Presbyterian Church.

Due to the ongoing Covid-19 virus, only family members will be received at the Locust Grove Church in Mount Storm on Sunday, June 7, 2020 from 3:00 pm to 6:00 pm. A private funeral service will be conducted on Monday, June 8, 2020 at the church beginning 12:00 pm with James Collette and Paul Pacella officiating.

Interment will be at the Locust Grove Cemetery on Bismarck Road in Mount Storm.

In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to the Mt. Storm Presbyterian Church, P.O. 226, Mount Storm, WV 26739.
