Obituary

Darrell Ross Bolyard, 69, of Swanton died on Thursday, March 10, 2022, at home. Born on September 21, 1952, in Tunnelton, WV, he was the son of the late Jehu Darrell and Elsie Melverine (Halbritter) Bolyard.
Darrell was a coal miner for Marion County Coal Resources, Inc. and member of the United Mine Workers for forty-six years. In his free time, he enjoyed riding his motorcycle and loved spending time with his grandkids.
He is survived by his wife of 45 years, Debora (Rexroad) Bolyard; two sons, Jamie Darrell Bolyard and wife Stacy Sheetz and Scott Edward Bolyard and wife Laura Bolyard; eight grandchildren, Ryan Bolyard, Julie Bolyard, Luke Bolyard, Owen Bolyard, Weston Bolyard, Savannah Bolyard, Leah Bolyard, and Matthew Flanagan; three sisters, Nancy Sturgeon, Wanda Sines, and Marietta Hershman; and a number of nieces and nephews.
Friend will be received at the C & S Fredlock Funeral Home, P.A., 21 N 2nd St, Oakland on Monday, March 14, 2022, from 6 to 8 PM and Tuesday, March 15, 2022, from 10 to 11 AM at which time a funeral service will be held in the funeral home with Pastor Craig Bolyard officiating. Interment will follow in the George Cemetery, Swanton.
