Bonnie Jean Blamble, age 87, of Oakland passed away on Saturday, April 17th, 2021 at Ruby Memorial Hospital, following a brief illness. Born on January 2, 1934 in Aurora, WV, she was the daughter of the late Harvey Lee Knotts and Merle Ocie (Synder) Knotts.
Jean was a homemaker and a long time member of St. John's Lutheran Church of Redhouse, MD. She enjoyed her close knit friend group who met everyday for coffee and good conversation. A self-taught musician, she relished the time spent playing the guitar, mandolin, and dulcimer with her family and friends at various functions and church events. Jean attended countless sporting events, dance recitals, school and military graduations for her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. Without question, Jean was selfless to the core, always ensuring those around her were loved and cared for. She was the most incredible mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and friend who left an everlasting impression on every heart she touched.
Jean is survived by her son, Terry Lee Blamble and wife Nancy, daughter, Angela Kay Jackson and husband Thomas, daughter, Julie Ann Glotfelty and husband James, all of Oakland, MD. She is also survived by seven grandchildren and nine great grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, Jean was preceded in death by her husband of 39 years, Delbert F. Blamble; one son, Tommy Glenn; four sisters and two brothers.
Friends will be received at the C & S Fredlock Funeral Home, P.A., 21 N 2nd St., Oakland on Thursday, April 22, 2021 from 11:00 AM - 1:00 PM at which time a funeral service will be held with Rev. Michael Wright officiating. Interment will be held in Redhouse Lutheran Cemetery.
