Obituary

Barbara Jean (Jackson) Paugh, 77, of Oakland, MD passed away on Sunday, May 22, 2022, at her home, surrounded by her family. Born April 9, 1945, in Elk Garden, WV, she was the daughter of the late William "Bill" Jackson and Violet Ada (Sherwood) Jackson.

She was a 1963 graduate of Elk Garden High School and member of Kurtz Chapel United Methodist Church. Barbara was a homemaker. She enjoyed crocheting, reading, painting, cooking and staining glass. Her greatest joy in life was her kids, grandkids and great grandkids.

Barbara married her high school sweetheart, Kenneth "Kenny" R. Paugh Sr., on November 13, 1964. In addition to her husband, she is survived by a son, Kenneth "Kenny" R Paugh, Jr. and wife, Wendy; a daughter, Linda L. (Paugh) Brown and husband, Bruce all of Oakland, MD; grandchildren, Lacy of Oakland, Chelsea and husband Makoto of Japan, Cassie and husband Adam, Josh and fiancee Nicole and Brandon all of Oakland, MD; great grandchildren, Lyla, Caedon, River, Alyssa, Brayden and El'e Jean. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by two brothers and two sisters.

Friends will be received at the C & S Fredlock Funeral Home, P.A., 21 N 2nd St, Oakland on Wednesday, May 25, 2022, from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 PM. A funeral service will be held on Thursday, May 26, 2022, at 11 AM at Nethken Hill United Methodist Church, Elk Garden, WV with visitation one hour prior to service. Pastor Barbara Rexroad will be officiating. Interment will follow in the Kalbaugh Cemetery.
