Wilma Howdyshell

Wilma Jean Howdyshell, 73, of Kitzmiller died on Tuesday, April 12, 2022, at Garrett Regional Memorial Hospital. Born on June 19, 1948, in Cross, West Virginia, she was the daughter of the late Virgle "Bud" Secrist and Pearl Ida (Brown) Secrist.
She was a member of the Kitzmiller Assembly of God and enjoyed flower gardening, fishing, softball, spending time with her grandchildren, and attending family reunions and church services. She had worked at Sterling Processing and then Bausch & Lomb.
She is survived by her husband, Paul D. Howdyshell Jr., of 51 years; children, Kenny Secrist and wife Betty of Jane Lew, Ronald Howdyshell and wife Kelli of Shallmar, and Paul D. Howdyshell III and wife Jami of Mt. Lake Park; grandchildren Zach Howdyshell, Santanna Howdyshell, Morgan Feather, Grace Stegall, Alex Howdyshell, Tristan Howdyshell, and Shelby Stegall-Sisler; great grandchild, Penny Lane Feather; siblings, Wanda Secrist of Oakland, Betty (Secrist) Kidwell and husband Tom of Martinsburg, Lilly (Secrist) Moats and husband Virgil of Crellin, Kathy Elliot of Kitzmiller, Mary (Secrist) Harvey and husband Ellis of Elk Garden, Linda Shillingburg of Snowy Creek, and Sharon Secrist.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Lana Beth Howdyshell; a sister, Martha (Secrist) Beavers; and brothers, Virgil, Melvin, Duke, William and Roger Secrist.
Friends will be received at the C & S Fredlock Funeral Home, P.A. 710 Church Street, Kitzmiller on Friday April 15, 2022, from 5 to 8 PM. The funeral service will be held on Saturday, April 16, 2022, at 10 AM in the funeral home with the Rev. Dr. Matthew Paugh officiating.
