Virginia Jones

Virginia May Jones, 92, of Oakland and formerly of Aurora, WV, died on Wednesday, November 1, 2023. Born on April 8, 1931, in Aurora, she was the daughter of the late Carl and Zella (Knotts) Cummings.

Virginia was a member of Stemple Ridge Church. She lived on and worked the farm as she was growing up into adulthood. In addition to spending time with her family, she enjoyed crocheting and sewing.

She is survived by her daughters, Elizabeth Johnson of New Oxford, PA, Donna Bissett and husband John of Citrus Springs, FL, JoAnn Frazee and husband Richard of Oakland, and Joan Nice and John Fink of Oakland; grandchildren, Tonia Guiher, Carl Snyder and wife Shelly, April Knox and husband Andy, Jason Snyder and friend Jason Hinze, Shawn Snyder, Bryan Frazee and wife Khristine, Cassie Nice and Swain Morris, Brandie Tasker and husband Tommy, Travis Nice and wife Rebekah, Sandy Jr. Nice and wife Brittney, and Kerstin Bennett and husband Kermit; great grandchildren, Emma Snyder, Deven and Nikole Frazee, Christina Smith, Lil Swain and Dalton Morris, Brianna and Skyler Tasker, Luke and Lexi Canan, Cory Morgan, Levi and Isabella Nice, Kadien, Aubrey, and Coltlynn Nice, and Elijah Bennett; brothers, Ralph Cummings and wife Selma, Clyde Cummings and wife Betty, and Arnie Cummings; and numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Collas "CJ" Jones; a son, Ronnie Jones; a grandson, Allan Snyder; and a brother and sister in law, Alva and Francis Cummings.

Private interment will be in the Stemple Ridge Cemetery, Aurora.
