Thomas Lee Scott, 70, of Thomas, WV, died on Sunday, September 19, 2021, at Garrett Regional Medical Center in Oakland, MD. Born on January 8, 1951, in Pierce, WV, he was the son of the late Joseph and Mary(Paulauskas) Scott.
He was a 1968 graduate of Mountaineer High School. He was a retired coal miner for Mettiki Coal and owner of Fairfax Machine & Welding, Inc. in Thomas, WV. He loved spending time with his family, grandchildren and dogs. He also enjoyed traveling, snowmobiling, driving his side by side, and target shooting. He served along side his wife at the Church in the Wilderness, Thomas, WV.
He is survived by his wife of 47 years, Pamela Louise (Porter) Scott; his children, Sarah Paugh and husband Allen of Fairmont, WV and Thomas Lee Scott, Jr. and wife Beth (Umbright) of Oakland, MD; six grandchildren, Leah and Lauren Paugh and Tommy, Sydney, Sunni and Sadie Scott; two sisters, Idella Scott, Darlene Hoover and husband Steve; and a brother, Joseph Scott, Jr. He was also loved by six nephews; one niece; two great nieces; eleven great nephews; one great-great nephew; and all of his sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law.
In accordance with his wishes, Tom will be cremated. A celebration of life/memorial is being planned by his family.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Tucker County Animal Shelter, 586 Brooklyn Heights Rd, Parsons, WV 26287.
