Bishop Robert Fletcher

Bishop Robert H. Fletcher, age 83, passed to his heavenly home on Wednesday, December 16, 2020, in Cumberland, MD.  He was born July 20, 1937; son of the late Robert T. Fletcher and Mildred Evans Coakley.

Bishop Fletcher attended Alleghany High School and served in the United States Marine Corps.  He married Jackie Fletcher, October 20,1956.  They served in ministry together for more than 50 years and was currently still pastoring at age 83.

Bishop Fletcher is survived by his wife Jackie; his son, Bishop Dr.  Robert Fletcher, wife and daughter in love, Dr. Suzy Fletcher; his daughter, Rev. Jody Lohr and husband, Rev. Harland Lohr; daughter, Bean Shank; grandsons, Bishop Josh Fletcher and wife,  Pastor Lauren Fletcher, Bishop Jesse Fletcher and wife, Pastor Lindsey Fletcher; Paps’ Boy, Daniel Lohr, and 7 great grandchildren, Aliyah, Judah, Hannah, Naomi, Jadon, Gabrielle, and Jael;  sisters, Darlene Schmidt, Accident, MD, and Patricia Woods, Cumberland, MD.

Friends will be received at the Loch Lynn Church of God, 8649 Gorman Rd. Loch Lynn, Maryland on Friday, December 18, 2020 from 3-6 PM.  A Celebration Service officiated by Bishop Dr. Robert W. Fletcher, Bishop Ivan Ackerman and Rev. Jody Fletcher Lohr, will be held on December 19, 2020, at 10:00 a.m. in the church. The service on Saturday will be live streamed at llcog.org.  Private interment will be held in Rocky Gap Veterans Cemetery.
