Mary White

Mary A. White, 80, of Oakland, MD went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, December 27, 2022, at her home. Born Oct. 15, 1942, in Meyersdale, PA, she was the daughter of the late Harry and Gladys (Knox) O'Brien.

Mary was a retired secretary, having been employed at Frostburg State University, but she mostly enjoyed being a stay-at-home mother. She attended Faith Church of Oakland for many years. Mary was best known for her pleasant disposition, her giving and loving spirit, and her love for the Lord.

She is survived by her husband, Harold "Bud" White; a son, Jason White and wife Adilka; and her grandchildren, Elias Andrew and Lucia Grace, of Woodstock, GA.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Donald O'Brien; a sister, Norma Green; and her twin sister, Marion O'Brien.

Friends will be received on Monday, January 2, 2023, at the C & S Fredlock Funeral Home, P.A., 21 N. 2nd St., Oakland, from 4 to 7 PM. A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, January 3, 2023, at the Faith Church, 1009 Maryland Hwy, Oakland, at 11 AM with Pastor Jeff Kroll officiating. Interment will follow in the Glade Mennonite Cemetery.
