Mary Shreve

Mary Louise Shreve, 67, of Swanton, died on Sunday, December 10, 2023, at WVU Ruby Memorial Hospital. Born on August 3, 1956, in Keyser, WV, she was the daughter of the late Frederick A. and Elizabeth P. (George) Lohr.

In her earlier years, Mary worked as a bank teller and then was the secretary for Triple S Construction, which she and her husband owned and operated. Mary was a devoted mother and was very proud of her sons. She especially loved spending time with and taking care of her grandchildren and her beloved cat, Henry. She also enjoyed donating her time and energy to raising money for charities. Mary had a strong belief in prayer and shared that with her doctors and nurses over the past several years.

She is survived by her husband, Eugene Shreve; her sons, Larry Shreve and wife Cindy of New Creek, WV, and Jimmy Shreve and wife Lynsey of Seaford, DE; her grandchildren, Ashton, Sydnee, Kenzi, Ben, Colin, Layla, and Owen; and numerous nieces and nephews, all of whom were very special to her; she is also survived by a very special friend, who she considered a sister, Yvonne Wilt.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her siblings, Dorothy Lohr, M. Lucille Shannon, Daniel E. Lohr, Luther D. Lohr, Roger W. Lohr, Lewis C. Lohr, James H. Lohr, and Frederick E. Lohr.

Friends will be received at the C & S Fredlock Funeral Home, P.A., 21 N 2nd St., Oakland, on Wednesday, December 13, 2023, from 4 to 7 PM and at the Loch Lynn Church of God, 8649 Gorman Rd, Oakland, on Thursday, December 14, 2023, from 10 to 11 AM. A funeral service will be held in the church at 11 AM with Pastors Cindy and Ivan Ackerman officiating.
