TOGETHER AGAIN. ..

Mary Lucille Shotwell, age 89, of Oakland, passed away on Wednesday, December 9, 2020 at Dennett Road Manor. Born on March 22, 1931 in Halifax County, Virginia, she was the daughter of the late Charles and Annie Salley.
​
Lucille was a member of Deep Creek Baptist Church where she served as financial secretary for several years. She was a loving and caring wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother and cherished the time she spent with her family. Lucille enjoyed cooking for her family and canning vegetables from her garden.
​
Lucille is survived by two sons, Ernest Shotwell, Jr. of Chesapeake, VA, David Shotwell and wife Teresa of Oakland; grandchildren, Sharon of Mt. Pleasant, SC, Jessica and Kaitlin of Chesapeake, VA, Kellie of Oakland, Aaron of McHenry; great grandchildren, Selena and Jacin of Chesapeake, VA, Riley of Mt. Pleasant, SC, Briston of Oakland and Emilee of McHenry.

In addition to her parents, Lucille was preceded in death by her husband of almost 68 years, Ernest H. Shotwell in August 2019; a twin sister, Louise (Salley) Thomas; and three brothers, Charles E. Salley, Jr., James R. Salley, John H. Salley.
​
Friends will be received at the C & S Fredlock Funeral Home, P.A., 21 N 2nd St., Oakland on Sunday, December 13, 2020 from 1-3 PM. A funeral service will be held in the funeral home on Monday, December 14, 2020 at 11 AM with a private interment following in Garrett County Memorial Gardens.
