Lee Brenneman

Lee Clifford Brenneman, age 72 years, passed away on Sunday, May 12, 2019 at his home surrounded by his loving wife and family. He was born on October 26, 1946 to Julia “Lottie” Hardesty and Bruce Clifford Brenneman in Cumberland, MD. He graduated from Northern High School in 1964. He proudly served in the United States Army from 1965 to 1968. He was stationed in France and Germany. Mr. Brenneman was a drywall finisher by trade, owning his business, Lee’s Drywall, for 46 years. He also continued ownership and operation of his family’s business, Brenneman’s Store for 27 years before retiring to Florida in 2005. He enjoyed sponsoring shooting events for the disabled and veterans and hosting hunters at his farm in Golden Meadows. He looked forward to his new crew of cows (his girls) every spring after wintering in St. Cloud, FL. He will be sadly missed by his family, friends and clay shooting buddies in Maryland and Florida. Mr. Brenneman is survived by his wife of 34 years, Susan Anne (Sines) Brenneman; his beloved pets, Franke and Bella; a daughter, Lynne (Brenneman) Brenneman and spouse Meredith of Mercersburg, PA; a son, Lorne Brenneman of Swanton; sisters, Linda Buckel and friend Howard Murry, Lana Roby and spouse Larry; a close nephew, Brian Smith; three grandchildren, Andrew Brenneman, Brianna Lambert and Brian Musselman; three step children, Chasidy Brown and spouse Roger, Tracy Riley and spouse Wilda, Lori Gregory and spouse Jay; nine step grandchildren; and ten step great-grandchildren. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Lois Brenneman. A memorial service will be held on Sunday, June 23, 2019 at 2 PM at his former residence with a pot luck lunch to follow. In case of rain, the service will be held at Emmanuel Lutheran Church, Bittinger. The Brenneman family would like to thank Hospice of Garrett County for their kind and loving care.
