Kevin Swick

Kevin Paul Swick, 54, of Mtn. Lake Park, passed away peacefully at his home on September 10, 2023. He was the son of Linda "Dorothy" Swick of Oakland and the late James B. Swick. Born on June 21, 1969 in Oakland, MD, he attended Southern High School and worked for Appalachian Crossroads.

Kevin loved to hunt, fish, watch ball games, go to the movies, eat out, and take cruises. He enjoyed working in the yard and his garden boxes, feeding the birds and deer when they came to the yard. Kevin loved animals, especially his three little dogs, Dayzee, Emmy, Skylar, and his cat Izzy.

He attended Divine Hope Church and loved to help out with the children at Vacation Bible School in the summer. He was a kind, gentle, and patient soul.

He is survived by Phebe, his wife of 21 years, and his devoted mother in law, Zelma. Kevin had a very special relationship with Phebe's sister, Elizabeth and husband Dave Goldsborough, his "hunting buddy", Jim and wife Carolyn Neary, William and Nichole Goldborough, Salem, Brenna, and David Goldsborough, Jr.

He is also survived by his siblings, Margaret Swick and Scott Swick, and his half-brothers, Grover and Wayne Sisler, special nieces, Hallee Sisler and Zoe Swick, and numerous other nieces and nephews.

In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his grandmother, Mary Browning Strawser, his grandfather, George Strawser, and uncle J.B. Strawser.

Friends will be received at C & S Fredlock Funeral Home P.A. on Thursday September 14, 2023, from 5 to 8 PM and on Friday, September 15, 2023, from 10 to 11 AM. A funeral service will take place at 11 AM with Pastor Dan Jordan officiating. Interment will follow in the Garrett County Memorial Gardens.
