Joseph Varner

Joseph William Varner, 75, of Dryfork, WV passed away July 8, 2018 at his home. He was born September 9, 1942 in Dryfork, WV a son of the late Johnie W. and Goldie M. Burns Varner. He was preceded in death by his wife, Jeanie Miller Varner. He is survived by two sisters, Grace (Bus) Wolford, Dryfork, WV, and AnnLee Lawrence, Hambleton, WV, and a host of nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by one brother, Carl Varner, three infant brothers, Jacob, Johnie Jr., and Madison Varner, three sisters, Kathryn Teter, Jennie Teter, and Juanita Mallow, and one infant sister, Mary Varner.

Mr. Varner worked in the sawmills the majority of his life. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, gardening, and farming. He loved helping others in any way that he could.

friends will be received Wednesday, July 11, from 6-8 PM at The Riverside Mennonite Church, Dryfork, WV. Funeral services will be held, 11:00 AM, Thursday, July 12, at The Riverside Mennonite Church with Rev. Jerry Sebastian officiating. Interment will follow in the Roy Cemetery.
