Joseph "Tom" Melkus

Joseph Thomas Melkus, 70, of Baltimore, Maryland passed away on September 8, 2023. Joseph, fondly known as Tom, was born to Joseph and Wilma Melkus, on April 14, 1953, in Cedar Grove, West Virginia. He was raised in Davis, West Virginia and after graduating high school moved to Baltimore. Tom was a hard-working man of many trades, having been a jeweler, then construction and later owned his own landscaping business. He was a devoted family man who selflessly cared for others.

Tom is survived by his wife, Linda; two children, David (Lauren) and Brian (Jami); and grandchildren, Brooklyn and Jackson. He is also survived by his sisters, Nancy Melkus-Criniti and Mary Crowl; brothers, Edward and Karl (Katrina) Melkus; and his nieces and nephews. Tom was preceded in death by his parents and his sister, Patricia.
