Joseph Simmons, II

Joseph "LJ" Allen Simmons, II, 30, of Pierce, died unexpectedly on December 10, 2023, at his residence. Born on August 3, 1993, in Petersburg, he was the son of Joseph Allen Simmons and Renee (Moreland) Dobranski.

LJ was a 2011 graduate of Bridgeport High School. After graduating, he worked for Bruce Hardwood, followed by Johnson Construction and Excavating, Four Seasons Construction and, most recently, for AP Properties as a property manager. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and spending time outdoors. He loved spending time with his family and friends, especially when it involved Jeeping.

In addition to his parents, he is survived by a daughter, Brynlee Fae; five siblings, Abigail Simmons, Adam Simmons, Bella Dobranski, Sophia Dobranski, and Allysah simmons; paternal grandparents, Frank and Shirley Simmons; maternal grandmother, Carolyn Lower; and his beloved dog, Remmy.

Friends will be received on Sunday, December 17, 2023, from 3 to 6 PM at the Hinkle-Fenner Funeral Home, 567 Thomas Ave., Davis. A funeral service will be held on Monday, December 18, 2023, at 11 AM in the funeral home with Pastor John Callaway officiating. Interment will be private.
