John True

John Wayne True, 67, of Kitzmiller died on Sunday, July 15, 2018, at Garrett Regional Medical Center.  Born on August 16, 1950, in Kitzmiller, he was the son of the late Frank E. and Agnes V. (Warnick) True.  He was a proud veteran of the United States Marine Corps having served during the Vietnam War.  He was a member of the American Legion Post #71 in Oakland, the Deer Park VFW Post #10077 and the Deer Park Sportsman’s Club.  In addition to spending time with his family, Wayne enjoyed fishing.  He is survived by his wife, Patricia (Guthrie) True; two daughters, Tanya of Virginia and Ann of Florida; three grandchildren; four step children, Christina and Chris Guthrie and Jackie and Devin Stillwagon; three step grandchildren; two sisters, Brenda Franklin and husband William of Oakland and Frances Lewis of SC; and a brother, Thomas True of Oakland. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, John Wayne True, Jr.; a sister, Mary Kerns; and a brother, Frank True, Jr.  Friends will be received at the C & S Fredlock Funeral Home, P.A., 710 Church St., Kitzmiller on Wednesday, July 18, 2018, from 6 to 8 PM.  A funeral service will be held in the funeral home on Thursday, July 19, 2018, at 1 PM.  Interment with military honors will follow in the IOOF Cemetery, Elk Garden, WV.
