John Perrine

John Alan Perrine, 68, of Oakland, MD, died on February 11, 2023. Born on September 23, 1954, in Oakland, MD, he was the son of the late George and Mildred (Killius) Perrine.

John lived the majority of his life in Winter Haven, FL, working for Albertson's as a produce manager. After retirement, he moved back home to his hometown, Oakland, MD. He was a member of Deep Creek Baptist Church and was recently attending Pleasant View Baptist Church. He enjoyed fishing, canoeing, hiking, scuba diving in the warm springs in FL, and overall, just enjoyed being outdoors. In his younger years, he enjoyed playing instruments, especially in the jazz genre.

He is survived by four siblings, Richard Perrine and wife Linda of Bel Air, MD, Stephen Perrine and wife Gail of Cranesville, WV, Paul Perrine and wife Shauna of Oakland, MD, and Susan Miller and husband Randy of Bridgewater, VA; along with numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.

Friends will be received on February 15, 2023, from 5 to 8 PM at the C & S Fredlock Funeral Home, P.A., 21 N. Second St., Oakland. A funeral service will be held on Thursday, February 16, 2023, at 10 AM in the funeral home with Pastor Wally Weeks officiating. Interment will follow in the Garrett County Memorial Gardens.
