Joan Thomas

Joan Carol Thomas, 78, of Oakland, passed away on Monday, October 10, 2022, at Garrett Regional Medical Center. Born on September, 17, 1944, in Pulaski, VA, she was the daughter of the late Mason DeSanky McLung and Harriet Malita Sutphin.

She retired from Mylan Pharmaceutical Company in Morgantown, WV.

She is survived by a loving son, Todd Thomas of Oakland, who loved her with his whole heart, and she was his best friend; a brother, Jerry McLung of Kingwood, WV; a nephew, Jason McLung of Reedsville, WV; and a good friend, Gina Marie Longway of Reedsville, WV.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Joyce Airsman.

At Joan's request, she will be cremated. A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, October 25, 2022, at Crossroads Church, 17781 Garrett Hwy, Oakland, at 7PM with Pastor Dave Marsh officiating.
