James Turner

James E. Turner, Jr., 82, of Oakland, died on Monday, December 11, 2023, at his home. Born on September 16, 1941, in Martinsburg, WV, he was the son of the late James E. Turner, II and Gladys (Braithwaite) Turner.

Jim enjoyed his career in car sales for Frederick Ford and the Ford Motor Company. After moving to Oakland, he attended St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Aurora, WV. Jim enjoyed fishing, horseback riding, bible study, building, and woodworking. Together, Jim and his wife, Christine, built their home in Oakland.

He is survived by his loving wife of 34 years, Christine (Boblick) Turner; his daughters, Tammy Brock and husband Shawn of VA, Susie Turner and Jeff Reppert of MD, and Kathy Walther and husband Shawn of OH; grandchildren, Meghan Walther, Maggie Walther, and Colby Tetlow; great granchildren, Riley, Evie, and Matty; and a sister, Janice Lawson and husband John of MD.

Memorials may be made in Jim's name to your local "No Kill" Animal Shelter.
