Goldie Kennard

Goldie Irene Kennard, 95, of Davis, West Virginia passed away July 19, 2018 at Cortland Acres in Thomas, West Virginia. She was born December 14, 1922 in Bayard, West Virginia a daughter of the late John H. and Lola Schrock Sisler. She was preceded in death by her husband, Edward Mashalll Kennard. Also preceding her in death, four brothers, Harry, Paul, Arlo, Kenneth, and one infant brother, one sister, Dora Harvey. She is survived by four children, Gloria Bland, Thomas, West Virginia, Edward M. Kennard, Jr., Davis, West Virginia, Edwin (Ruby) Kennard, Davis, West Virginia, David (Cheryl) Kennard, Davis, West Virginia, 12 grandchildren, Lisa, Kyle, Mark, Angela, Tiffany, Jill, Megan, Kimberly, Joseph, Scottie, Kim, and Jennifer, 22 great-grandchildren, and 3 great-great-grandchildren, and one brother, Sherman Sisler, Elkins, West Virginia.

Mrs. Kennard was a member of the Davis Church of God and loved singing hymns. She enjoyed word search puzzles, quilting, and crocheting. She loved to watch game shows and western movies.

Friends will be received at Hinkle Funeral Home, Sunday, July 22, from 6-8 pm. Funeral services will be conducted, 11:00 am, Monday, July 23, at Hinkle Funeral Chapel with Rev. Larry Idleman.
