George L. Wilcox III, 57, of Davis, WV passed away on July 23, 2020 at his home. Death was sudden and unexpected. He was born on March 15, 1963 in Flint, Michigan to the late Dorothy and George Wilcox II.
He is survived by his loving wife Diane Wilcox, whom he married on September 7, 2013; stepson Ben Campbell and wife Suzy; two stepdaughters, Rachael Hamman and husband Josh, and Abigail Campbell; and step grandson Bruce Campbell, all of Winchester, VA. He is also survived by two sons and a daughter from a previous marriage, several grandchildren, two brothers, a sister, and two half-sisters.
George was a well-known and talented meat cutter in the Davis community who loved what he did. He was a dog lover with a soft spot for large breeds. He had a passion for movies, with his all-time favorite being The Wizard of Oz. He enjoyed antiquing, playing poker and fishing with his wife and family.
At the request of Mr. Wilcox, he will be cremated. Visiting hours will be held at Hinkle-Fenner Funeral Home, Friday, July 31, from 5:00 – 7:00 pm. We kindly ask those in attendance to wear a mask or face covering and observe social distancing. Hinkle-Fenner Funeral Home has been entrusted with the arrangements.
