Frederick Close

Frederick A. Close, 73, of Hartmansville, WV, died on Tuesday, March 19, 2024, at Hampshire Center Nursing and Rehabilitation, in Romney. Born on June 1, 1950, in Keyser, he was the son of Charles E. Close and Emily Virginia (Abernathy) Close.

He enjoyed helping to build the House of Prayer with Pastor Leslie Hipp and loved spending time with his family and church family.

He is survived by three brothers, Ronald, William, and Milton Close.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his two sisters, Norma Aronhalt and Marjana Greaser, and two brothers, Richard and Steven Close.

Friends will be received on Saturday, March 23, 2024, at the House of Prayer, Hartmansville Road, Elk Garden, WV, from 10 AM to 12 PM. A funeral will be held at 12 PM with Pastor Leslie Hipp officiating. Interment will follow in the IOOF Cemetery, Nethken Hill.
