Florence "Lois" Adams

Florence "Lois" (Teets) Adams, 97, of Aurora, WV, passed away on April 17, 2023, at Cortland Acres. Born on September 16, 1925, in Frostburg, MD, she was the daughter of the late Dayton and Freda (Stemple) Teets.

Lois was a graduate of Aurora High School. She was a member of the Aurora United Methodist Church and the Aurora Historical Society. She was a homemaker, and in her spare time, enjoyed reading, knitting, watching WV sports, game shows on TV, and in her younger years, she really loved to cook for her family.

She is survived by her son, John Adams and wife Jeanette of Aurora; two grandsons, Gregg Adams and wife Elizabeth of Aurora and B.J. Adams and wife Lindsay of Reedsville; five great grandchildren, Averi, Madison, Landon, Blake and Brady Adams; a great step-grandson, David Vincent and fiancé Kenzie Wesolowski; a stepbrother, Wendell Teets; a stepbrother-in-law, Alan Sisk; two stepsisters-in-law, Karen Teets and Linda Teets; and a very special friend and care taker, Ruby Moats.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Thomas Adams; stepmother, Lorrayne (Halbritter) Teets; a stepbrother, Mike Teets; and two stepsisters, Joyce (Teets) Sisk and Rosaline Nutter.

Friends will be received on Wednesday, April 19, 2023, from 4 to 7 PM at the Aurora Memorial Building and on Thursday, April 20, 2023, from 10 to 11 AM at the Aurora United Methodist Church. A funeral service will be held at 11 AM, in the church with Pastor Mike Lantz officiating. Interment will follow in the Aurora Cemetery.
