Ellene Barker

Ellene Ruth Barker, 90, of Mt. Lake Park, MD, died on Friday, August 5, 2022, at Morgantown Health and Rehab. Born on February 14, 1932, in Webster County, WV, she was the daughter of the late Harvey G. and Goldie L. (Lynch) Barker.

She was a member of the Loch Lynn Church of God. She was a loving mother and homemaker and enjoyed spending time with her family.

She is survived by two sons, Timothy Tharp of Mt. Lake Park, MD, and Charles Tharp of Newport, NC; four granddaughters, Jolon Rodeheaver, Sacagawea Lantz, Brandie Welch, and  Tabitha Soult; numerous other grandchildren; four brothers, Granville Barker of Cleveland, OH, Arlen Barker, Don Barker, and Robert Barker; three sisters, Marla Rowan of Sutton, WV, Caroline Dillon of Cleveland, OH, and Sherry Kay Cartor of Grafton, OH.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by three daughters, Wilma, Annette, and Ramona; and one son, Otis.

A graveside service will be held Tuesday, August 16, 2022 at 11 AM in Oakland Cemetery, with Pastor Carl Fike officiating.
