Effie Dumire

Effie "Dot" Dumire, 86, of Aurora, WV passed away July 10, 2019, in Oakland, MD at Dennett Road Manor. She was born April 29, 1933 in White Ridge, WV, a daughter to the late Morris Lakin and Mary Lepha Wotring White. She was preceded by her husband on April 29, 2007, Earl McKinley Dumire, whom she married on June 28, 1958.

She is survived by her two children, Pam (Don) Deal, of Aurora, WV, and Tim (Lisa) Dumire, Newton, NC, one brother, Jerry White, one sister, Madeline Messiora, five grandchildren, Melissa (Christopher) Pase, Brittnee Dumire, John (Renae) Prater, J Prater, Timothy (Eve) Dumire, and nine great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by eight brothers and three sisters.

Ms. Dumire took great pride in taking care of her family and her home. She loved her animals, especially her dogs and feeding wild birds.

She was known for her favorite saying of "Keep praying, and we'll all make it".

Friends will be received at Hinkle-Fenner Funeral Home, Saturday, July 13, 2019 from 4:00 pm - 5:00 pm. Funeral services will be conducted immediately following the visitation at 5:00 pm with Rev. Carroll Harvey officiating. Interment will follow in the Mt. Carmel Cemetery in White Ridge on Limestone road. Hinkle-Fenner Funeral Home has been entrusted with the arrangements.
