Danny Beckman

Danny C. Beckman, 69, of Oakland, MD, passed away at his home surrounded by his family on Friday, December 2, 2022. Born on September 21, 1953, in Oakland, MD, he was the son of the late Delton C. and Evelyn L. (Switzer) Beckman. 

Danny worked as a coal miner for Mettiki Coal Co. He was a member of Pleasant View Baptist Church and also enjoyed attending Lavale Baptist Church to listen to his son-in-law's sermons. He enjoyed spending time with his horses, riding his motorcycle, watching westerns but most of all, spending time with his family and friends. 

He is survived by his wife, Brenda (Livengood) Beckman, to whom he was married on December 6, 2008; a daughter, Stacey Jeffries and husband Jim of Frostburg, MD; a son, Robert Beckman and husband Brian Bowers of Oakland, MD; a step daughter, Amanda Sines and husband Travis of Oakland, MD; a step son, Jeremiah King and wife Katie of Swanton, MD; eight grandchildren, Logan Jeffries and wife Katrina, Dalton Jeffries and wife Nicole, Branson Jeffries, Reid Sines, Cais Sines, Isabella Sines, Wyatt King, and Lila King; three great grandchildren, Karsyn, Easton and Evelyn Jeffries; along with a host of brothers-in-law, nieces, nephews and cousins.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Gary and Curt Beckman, and a sister, Toni Knapp.

Friends will be received on Wednesday, December 7, 2022, from 5 to 8 PM at C & S Fredlock Funeral Home, P.A. 21 N. 2nd St. Oakland. A funeral service will be held on Thursday, December 8, 2022, in the funeral home at 11 AM with Pastor Jim Jeffries officiating. Interment will follow in the Garrrett County Memorial Gardens.
