Bruce Allen Tasker, age 64, of Barton, passed away on Saturday, May 15, 2021 at his residence. Born on October 29, 1956, in Vindex, Maryland, he was the son of the late Leo Tasker and Mary Jane (Lipscomb) Beaver.
Bruce was a hardworking, loving husband and father. In the eyes of his children, he was a superhero. He proudly served his country in the United States Army National Guard. Most recently was employed by Standard Laboratories as a lab technician and as a private driver for the Amish community. Bruce enjoyed spending time outdoors hunting mushrooms, ginseng and fishing. He was passionate about restoring classic British cars.
Bruce is survived by his children, SaDonna Swegan and husband Eric of Warrenton, NC, Samantha Lewis and husband Dewight of Barton, MD, Jesse Tasker and wife Becky of Warren, OH, Cecelia Warren and husband Jesse of Nashville, TN, and Crystal Tasker and husband Ron of Ravenna, OH; grandchildren, Marissa Tasker, Brandon Fisher, R.J. Halicki, Adam Lewis, Alexsandra Halicki, Lacee Liller, Chelsea Liller, Kylee Tasker, Jailynn Liller, Dakota Burns, Jacob Criss; a great granddaughter, Zoe Tasker; siblings, Mike Tasker and wife Marge, James "Skip" Tasker and wife Patty, Randy Tasker and wife Debbie, Kathy R. Greaser; a special friend, Marilyn Kuhns; his faithful canine companions, Copper, Wrenny, Taco and Ellie Mae; and his dove, Little One.
In addition to his parents, Bruce was preceded in death by his best friend and wife of 25 years, Sandra M. Henley-Tasker in May 2020; and a brother, Gary Tasker.
Bruce's wish for cremation will be honored and no services are planned at this time.
