Bradley Alan Cooper, 75, of Oakland, passed away May 8, 2025, at WVU Ruby Memorial Hospital. Born on October 20, 1949, in Gorman, he was the son of the late Walter S. and Pauline V. (Harvey) Cooper.
Bradley was a 1967 graduate of the Southern High School. He served honorably in the United States Army from 1968 to 1988, dedicating 20 years to his country. Following his military service, he pursued a career as a truck driver, working for Savage Services and Schneider National. A devoted member of the Fairview Covenant Brethren Church, Bradley was deeply rooted in his faith and community. In his free time, he cherished traveling and sightseeing, exploring new destinations with his family.
He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Ruth Ann (Gaither) Cooper, to whom he was married on July 21, 1969; his brother, Gary Cooper and wife June of Oakland; two sons, Brian Cooper and wife Heather of Oakland, and Chadwick Cooper and wife Peggy of Terra Alta; four grandchildren, Scott Cooper and wife Jess of Ridgeley, WV, Dalton Cooper and girlfriend Montana VanMeter of Oakland, Annaliese Cooper and boyfriend Breyer Ailiff of Terra Alta, and Grace Cooper of Terra Alta; and five great grandchildren, Makenna, Sophia, Tucker, Brooklyn, and Mariha.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to be made to a Veteran Organization of your choice in memory of Master Sergeant Bradley Cooper.
Friends will be received on Monday, May 12, 2025, from 4 to 7 PM at the Fredlock & Fenner Funeral Homes, P.A. - Oakland Chapel 21 N. Second St., Oakland. A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, May 13, 2025, at 11 AM in the funeral home chapel with Pastor Sam Moon officiating. Interment will follow at 2 PM in the Rocky Gap Veterans Cemetery where military honors will be accorded.
