Betty Yommer

Betty Virginia (Green) Yommer, 90, of Loch Lynn Heights, went to meet her Lord and Savior on Saturday, December 12, 2020 at Dennett Road Manor Nursing Home.  Born in July 30,1930 in Barton, MD, she was the daughter of Clarence and Alice (Warnick)Green. She was a member of the Oakland Church of the Nazarene.

Betty went on thirty four Work and Witness missionary trips to Central America, South America, Africa and New Guinea, of which the country and people of Peru were her very favorite. She met her second husband, Floyd, on one of these trips.

Before retiring, she was the owner and operator of the Free Spirit Christian Bookstore in Oakland.  Before that she worked at Bausch and Lomb for many years and several other places.

She will always be remembered for saying that her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren were her greatest possesions. Nothing but her relationship with her Savior were more important to her than her "kids".

Betty is survived by her three sons, James and wife Brenda, Timothy and wife Cheryl, and David and wife Rhonda; grandchildren, Carrie and husband Terry, Brian and wife Jamie, Lisa, Kayla and husband Cory, Phillip, Mallory and husband Logan, and Madison; great-grandchildren, Rory, Rylee, Silvia, Alex and Karpenter; step children, Bruce and wife Evelyn, Bryce and Laurie; step-grandchildren, Mark, Scott and wife Victoria, Daren and wife Audrey, Bryttni and husband Brock; step great-grandchildren, Katherine and husband Guy, Rebecca, Lauren, Samantha, Chloe, Arlis, Ella, Dayton and Annabelle; one brother, Clarence "Buddy" Green and many special nephews and nieces whom she loved as her own.

In addition to her parents, Betty was preceded in death by two husbands, Harold "Jim" Yommer in 1978 and Floyd Westlake in 1997; a daughter, Joyce Lynn and two sisters, Mildred George and Shirley Cumberland.

Friends will be received at the C & S Fredlock Funeral Home, P.A., 21 N 2nd Street, Oakland, on December 19, 2020 from 10 - 11 AM with a funeral service following at 11AM. Internment will be at Garrett Memorial Gardens
