Zolula Mae "Andy" Wolfe, age 90, of Oakland, formerly of Mount Storm, passed away on Wednesday, December 23, 2020 at Dennett Road Manor Nursing Home due to Covid-19.
Andy was born in New Cumberland, WV on January 30, 1930 to the late Carl and Bessie (Talbot) George.
Andy married the love of her life on Christmas Day 1946. She worked as a hairdresser for over 40 years. She owned and operated Andy's Beauty Salon in Bayard, WV, a career she loved.
She attended the Mount Storm Presbyterian Church where she enjoyed playing the angel in the live nativity program for many years. She truly was and angel here on earth to all who knew her and a woman of great faith. She had a wonderful sense of humor all her life. She had many hobbies including painting on canvas, reading, crocheting, baking and making her grandchildren pancakes in the shape of an animal at their request. She was the best mamaw a child could have. She was also famous for her amazing biscuits which she joyfully shared. She loved playing board gamesand card games, puzzles, sewing and quilting. She has gifted many of her famous blankets and paintings to friends and family.
Andy was preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth Wolfe in 2007; and infant son, Kenneth Wolfe, Jr.; a brother, Carl George; and a sister, Barbara Pease.
Andy is survived by her sons, Carl "Bob" Wolfe and partner Margie Wanzer, Jeffery Wolfe and wife Rhonda (Fulk); three grandchildren, Erica Glotfelty, Jeremy Wolfe and Jamie Wolfe; four great grandchildren, Nicole Glotfelty, Kristin Wolfe, Kaylee Wolfe and Jacob Wolfe; a sister, Patricia Kitzmiller; a half brother, Claude George; and a special sister-in-law, Nellie George; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Services will be private for family only due to Covid-19. A private visitation will be held on Monday, December 28, 2020 at the Mount Storm Presbyterian Church from 10-11 AM at which time a funeral service will be held with James Collette officiating. Interment will be held in the Bayard Cemetery.
