Alma Ream

Alma Elizabeth (Costley) Ream, 97, of Oakland, MD, passed away on March 23, 2023, at Dennett Road Nursing Home. Born on March 21, 1926, in Carlisle, MN, she was the daughter of the late Cleveland and Elizabeth (Gitchel) Costley.

Alma was a graduate of West Virginia Business College of Clarksburg, WV. She worked for the US Public Health Department, Social Security Administration in Baltimore, Welch and Associates as a Realtor, and the Loch Lynn City Hall as a office clerk. Alma was a member of Business & Professional Women's Club of Clarksburg, the Civic Club, and Eastern Star Chapter 67.

She is survived by her children, Edward Kovach and wife Nina and Tom Kovach; a special loving sister, Joyce Tekavec; her grandchildren, Dusty Distaulo, Crystal Barton, Jesse Kovach, Ginny Savage, Nicole Pratt and Tommy Kovach; and ten great grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Dale Ream.

Friends will be received on Tuesday, March 28, 2023, from 4 to 6 PM at the C & S Fredlock Funeral Home, P.A., 21 N. Second St. Oakland. A private interment will follow in the Taylor Sines Cemetery.
