Adam Slagle

Adam B. Slagle, 17, of Oakland passed away on Monday, July 9, 2018, in Garrett County, Maryland. Born on March 7, 2001, he was the son of David and Eleanor Slagle of Oakland.

Adam was a boy who knew no stranger. His light and vibrancy were infectious, making it impossible not to smile. Those who had the privilege of knowing Adam can honestly say they had witnessed true happiness. Adam will be missed by all, but none shall miss him in comparison to his family.

In addition to his parents, Adam left behind two brothers, Caleb and Luke of Oakland; his sister, Ashton and her husband, Tristan Hannaford of Pittsburgh; two living grandmothers, Virginia Dakon and Grace Slagle; and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.

Friends will be received at the C & S Fredlock Funeral Home, P.A., 21 N 2ndSt., Oakland on Friday, July 13, 2018, from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 PM. A service will be held in the Kingdom Hall, 325 Weber Rd., Oakland on Saturday, July 14, 2018, at 2 PM. Interment will follow in the Garrett County Memorial Gardens.

Adam was a prime example of goodness. His helpful nature and kindness were both strong qualities instilled from his faith in Jehovah. Adam’s time has ended far earlier than anyone could have ever imagined, but his memory is a treasure and should be cherished as one. Until we meet again in the fields of paradise.
