Junior D. “Peach” Tasker went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, December 22, 2019 at his home comfortably with his daughter beside him. Born August 22, 1923 in Vindex, he was the oldest son of the late Jacob E. Tasker and Elva P. (Bray) Tasker. He married the love of his life Beulah Louise (Kifer) Tasker on 08/03/1950. They had 61 years, 3 months and 7 days together when God called her home on December 7, 2011. Peach loved life. He loved to laugh, meet people, dogs, cows, sheep, conversation, westerns, cars, junk, old country music, food. He proudly served in the United States Army by doing two tours during the Korean War. He was with a Mash unit either before them or with them. Peach served under General MacArthur. Peach is survived by a daughter, Judy G. (Tasker) Esenwein; son-in-law, Stan Esenwein; daughter by heart, Wendy Friend and fiance Kenny Paugh; siblings, R. Jacob Tasker and D. Darlene (Tasker) Otto; sisters-in-law, Nelda Tasker, Sadie Tasker and special friend Sharon (Tasker) Tichinel. He is also survived by several nieces, great nieces, great-great nieces, nephews, great nephews and great-great nephews. In addition to his parents, Peach was preceded in death by a brother, Paul J. Tasker; brother-in-law, Charles W. “Bud” Kifer; sister-in-law, Grace A. (Oates) Kifer; nephews, Charles E. Kifer and Henry A. Kifer, Sr.; and a great niece, (infant) Tara Tasker. Friends will be received at the C & S Fredlock Funeral Home, P.A., 21 N 2nd Street, Oakland on Sunday, December 29, 2019 from 2-4 PM and 6-8 PM. A funeral service will be held in the funeral home on Monday, December 30, 2019 at 11 AM. Interment with military honors will be held in Deer Park Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be directed to Hospice of Garrett County, Meals on Wheels or to Home Health through the Garrett County Health Department.
