Aaron Bradley Friend

November 28, 1988 ~ March 14, 2018 (age 29)

Aaron Bradley Friend, 29, of Oakland, passed away on Wednesday, March 14, 2018 at his residence.  Born on November 28, 1988, he is the son of Cindy D. (Spencer) Friend of Mountain Lake Park and Tim L. Friend of Statesville, NC.  Aaron was a 2007 graduate of Southern High School and attended Garrett College.  He was a dock manager at Bill’s Marine Service at Deep Creek Lake.  During his youth, he attended Oak Park Church of the Brethren and attended Crossroads Church.  Aaron had a passion for outdoors adventure and a need to feel the wind blowing in his hair.  Whether he was mudding on 4-wheelers, hunting or snowboarding he lived his life with no fear.  He was known to have a smile that lit up a room when he entered and a giving and selfless personality.  Aaron had a big heart and he adored his nieces and nephew.  He will truly be missed by all who knew him.  In addition to his parents, Aaron is survived by his sisters, Tonya Friend and partner Ryan Bubonovich of Washington, PA, Brittney Lucas and husband Matthew of Oakland and Alysha Friend and partner Matthew Ashby of Oakland; four nieces, Dylan Lucas, Laney Lucas, Emersyn Lucas and Harlow Bubonovich; a nephew, Sawyer Ashby; paternal grandmother, Marie Friend; several aunts, uncles and cousins; and his best friend, Ben Margroff.  Aaron was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Vern W. and Alice B. Spencer and paternal grandfather, Junior R. Friend.  Friends will be received at the Crossroads Church, 17781 Garrett Highway, Oakland on Monday, March 19, 2018 from 2-4 PM and 6-8 PM.  A funeral service will be held in the church on Tuesday, March 20, 2018 at 11 AM with Pastor Carl Fike officiating.  Memorial contributions may be made to Landon’s Library, 317 E Oak St., Oakland, MD 21550.  C & S Fredlock Funeral Home, P.A., Oakland has been entrusted with arrangements.   www.csfredlockfh.com
